On 24th December 1964 takes place the debut of "Ion Creanga" Theatre in the world of spectacles with the premiere "Harap Alb", directed by Ion Lucian, the director of the new founded theatre, the new born does not have identity papers. The founding decree of the theatre is emitted on 4th May 1965, in the same year is founded ASSITEJ-The International Association of Theatres for Children and Teenagers, “Ion Creanga” Theatre being a member of it (Romania is the founding country).
