Along the 56 theatrical seasons, 155 premieres have seen the stage-lights- 28 of them being Romanian operas. The repertory numbers 90 titles starting from the French school to the modern musical.

At the completion of 50 years of existence, as a state theatre, the opera received the entitling of National Theatre, based on its exceptional artistic achievements.
