A vidék adottságai kiváló lehetőségeket biztosítanak a hegyi kerékpározás kedvelőinek. Több tucat, a hegyek gerincein és a völgyekben futó erdei út hálózza be a környéket, érintve a leglátványosabb tájakat. A szintkülönbségek nem túlzottan nagyok, általában 200-300 m. Több helyszínen lehetőség adódik a hegyi kerékpárút autóval való megközelítésére, így sok esetben  megkímélhetik magukat a fárasztó biciklis hegymászástól, lehetőséget teremtve a csupán ereszkedést tartalmazó biciklitúrára.

A Gyergyószentmiklós- Gyilkostó Turisztikai Desztináció területén csak a Hagymás- hegységben lehetséges a Zerge megfigyelés. A zergék itteni élőhelyei terjes egészsében a Békás- Szoros - Nagyhagymás Nemzeti Park területére esnek. Szigorúan védett emlős és a megfigyelő túrák alkalmával főleg a zaj szennyezésre kell nagyon odafigyelni.

Come with us to deer watch! In autumn, when the stags are fighting for the favor of females, listening to their roar is in itself a memorable experience. We have a chance to hear their presence from a distance, even approach them and with a little luck see a few of them together.

During the autumn, the szekler mountains and forests are loud by disturbing yet wildly beautiful roars. The deer wedding, as is called among the hunters, takes place once a year and then all nature falls silent to listen to the stags, whom with their raised antlered heads press out from their chests the eerie and yet stunningly beautiful mating roars.

The program is organized upon request. The participants are transported to the observation place by off-road vehicles, where a snack of wild game meats accompanied with the traditional pálinka will be served.

The program takes place at dawn and in the evening between:

05:00 - 9:00

and

19:00 -23:00 hours

Székelyföldön rengeteg a templom, azonban azok számára akik inkább a kevés templom, és sok a természetjáró programot részesítik előnybe jó hírünk van. Hargita megye domborzati adottságairól csak annyit említenénk, hogy  több mint 60%-a hegy, ez kb. 4000 km².  Ha meg szeretné tudni milyen a Gyergyó környéki hegyek friss fenyőillata, le szeretne tekinteni egy sziklacsúcsról, vagy farkasszemet nézni egy zergével, jó helyen jár. Ha igazi, vadon termett áfonyát (gyergyóiason kokojzát) akar szedni, inni kristálytiszta forrásokból vagy kezet fogni egy csobánnal (pásztorra használt török eredetű szó) és szétnézni egy esztenán, ahol kipróbálhatja milyen az íze a természetes tejnak, igazi sajtot és túrót enni, ismételten jó helyen jár. Mindehhez annyit kell tennie, hogy a több száz km jelzett turistaösvényt igénybe vegye. Az útvonalak hossza, nehézsége nagyon változatos, lehetőség adódik egy-, vagy néhány órás kirándulásra, de több napos gyalogtúrára is, az év bármely időszakában. 

Tavasszal a vidék üde, sokszor valószínütlen zöld színekbe öltözik, gyakoriak a meleg, napsütéses napok, de gyakori az eső, havas eső, ritkábban hó is, főleg a magasabb csúcsok közelében.

Nyáron a legalkalmasabb az idő a gyalogtúrázásra, ekkor a vidék virágtengerbe öltözik, kevesebb a csapadék, melegek a nappalok, azonban a hegyvidéki éghajlat hatásaként bármikor előfordulhatnak heves, viharral kísért záporok.

Napsütéses őszi időszak esetén ugyancsak kedvezőek a lehetőségek a túrázni vágyók számára. A medencékben gyakori a köd azonban a csúcsokon és a hegygerinceken kellemes napsütés a jellemző. Ebben az időszakban általában nagyon tiszta a levegő, igy gyakran több száz kilóméterre is ellátni a magasabb csúcsokról. Napközben ugyan meleg a levegő, éjszakára azonban lehűl és gyakoriak a hajnali fagyok.

A téli időszakban teljesen új arcát mutatja a táj, általában vastag hótakaró fedi a hegyeket. A turistautak nagy része gyalogosan nem járható a mély hó miatt - kivétel néhány nagyon gyakran járt útvonal, melyen folyamatosan kitapossák az ösvényt az arra járók (pl. Balánbánya - Egyeskő menedékház, Gyilkostó - Kis Cohárd). A többi útvonal csupán hótalppal, vagy sítúra léccel járható. A téli túrák hosszának megválasztásánál számolni kell a nappalok rövidségével, rossz idő esetére pedig gondoskodni kell a megfelelő téli ruházatról, ugyanis gyakoriak az erős széllel kísért hóviharok. Hosszabb túra esetén érdemes előre tájékoztatni a helyi HEGYIMENTŐ SZOLGÁLATOT.

A ló és az ember kapcsolata a székely társadalomban több évszázadra vezethető vissza. A hagyományos igavonásra betanított lovakat télen szánhúzásra is fel tudják használni és ezáltal színesíteni lehet a térség turisztikai adottságait.

A székelykapu túra egy rövid (kb 30 perces) bemutatóval kezdődik a Turisztikai Információs Iroda szomszédságában felállított kapumúzeum első darabjánál. Itt bemutatjuk a székelykapu jellegzetességeit, díszítőelemeit, a leggyakoribb színhasználatot egyebek mellett. A bemutató után elsétálunk a falu legrégebbi székelykapujához, ahol a turisták fotózhatnak és szívesen válaszolunk felmerülő kérdéseikre is. A célunk, hogy a túra során ismertessük a három kaputípust és a köztük levő különbségeket pontosítsuk. A kb 1 órás séta alatt a turisták láthatják a 11 Műemlék Székelykaput.1

Safety note: Includes a safety briefing for each group at the start of the activity by an experienced, qualified instructor.  It is important that participants listen to, and adhere to, the briefing for safety purposes. The instructor will accompany each individual as they get a turn to drive. A driving licence is required. The rest of the team stay within the spectator area.

The Hot Air Balloon Parade from Câmpu Cetătii is the first and unique event of this kind in Romania. In 2014 it was organized the 9th edition of the parade.The festival is organized by the Nyaradballoon Sky Team Sport Association – Eremitu with the collaboration of the Mures County council and Local council Eremitu.
The festival and the idea of this kind of festival was the consequence of a conversation between three friends and its objective is to present this kind of sport/hobby, unfortunately it isn’t a common one in Romania.
At the moment in Romania there are 10-12 hot air balloons, the majority in Bucharest, these balloons participate on different socio- cultural events in the country. The event from Câmpu Cetătii helps these teams to meet other teams from other countries to change experiences.
From the year 2006 , there were 3 teams and a few hundreds of viewers. In the last years we had 14-16 balloons (or even more!) from 5-6 other countries and around 20-25.000 visitors.
Last year there was 17 hot air balloons from many countries.
Visitors are from the neighboring countries and the area. There are some people who plan their holiday to participate on this unique festival, there are many reservations for accommodation and flight, too.
In 2015 the event will be in the period 25-27 September.
