Presentation - The Fortified Church Of Dârjiu- Dârjiu Darjiu

The fortifi ed church in Derzs, dates back to the 13th century and is one of the most beautiful gothic buildings in Udvarhely region. The walls of the church, rich with gothic decorative elements, display valuable frescoes murals such as that depicting the legend of Saint László. Under the tiles of the walls of the fortress one can still discover wooden cases for food and grain storage and the bastions are still used by the villagers to store bacon.
