Presentation - Roman Catholic Church Cernat

During the reformation the majority of the village population converted to protestantism, but at the beginning of the 1700s, a few descendants of the Bernáld family returned to the Roman Chatolic faith, thus reviving the Chatolic life again. Bernáld György set ap a chapel in 1766 and employed a court chaplain for church service.

In 1844 the canon and parson from Csíkszentmárton, Zámbler János built a church for the village.
