Reformed Church Icfalău Cernat

The plan of the present reformed church - without the tower - was made by Csomós István in 1874. Its foundation stone was placed in 1875 and was built up in four years. The church services started in 1879, although there were no seats in the church.

The Catholic community of the village is the outparish of Futásfalva ( Alungeni ). The chapel was built in 1960, in honour of the apostles Saint Peter and Saint Paul. The villagers set up a monument in the church garden to commemorate those who died in the wars. The list of the persons died in the war of independence of 1848-49 and in the I.and II. World War can be read on the marble slabs placed on the stone obelisks, but also of those who had  been forced to go in penal labor camps and perished there. At the same place we find a memorial wooden column on honour of the millecentenary.
