The Mineralogy Museum Cluj-Napoca

The museum has approximately 16,500 exhibits, grouped in multiple collections. We remind a few of the main collections:

The gem collection (approximately 230 fine gems, most of them bevelled) represents one of the museum attractions and it is exhibited in the original show case from the 19th century. One of the collections of rarities is that of meteors, the only one of this type in Romania and which has over 200 exhibits from all around the world, meteors which have fallen on all 5 continents.

The exhibition of minerals discovered for the first time in Romania comprises 18 mineral species. They represent mineral rarities, such as: tellerium, sylvanite, andorite, tellurite, etc.
