Giant Rock Ojdula

GIANT STONE

One the hill between Ozsdola and Martonos, the so-called Kurta, is a rock-formation, which also has an interesting story attached by the locals.

The rumor says that once upon a time there lived a giant in this region. Oncewhen he went towards Martonos with his son, destiny brought them together with working people.

The giant's son began begging his father to let him play whit them because he thought they were also giant children.

The giant explained to his son that they were men, but let his wish come true. While the boy was playing, he set on a big stone and waited. It is considered that be was so heavy that his bottom's and sac's print is still visible nowadays in Kurta, in form of three scoops.
