Public Library Miercurea Ciuc

The Town Library

Miercurea Ciuc has only one public library, the Town and County Library of Harghita County. The library functions in several locations. In the Miko Castle you will find the Department of Documentation, of History and Arts and of Children’s Literature, in the Town’s Cultural House the Department of Literature and of Technical Sciences, and in the Cultural House of Syndicates the Department of Periodicals and of Music. Besides written materials, the library also collects non-traditional documents such as discs, audio- and video cassettes, CD disks, CD-ROMs. The library organizes book presentations, competitions, conferences, professional debates and different cultural events.
