Béldy Castle From Geaca Geaca

The castle belonged to Béldy family, established in the area in the 19th century. In 1880 Béldy Akos, the prefect of Cluj county between 1888-1905, builds a residence for his family, thus resulting a neoclassic castle decorated with elements of traditional architecture.

The plan is rectangular and serves a building formed from basement, ground floor and first floor. The main entrance has above it a terrace supported by four Doric columns, in the right side of the palace being an annex of the castle.

Unfortunately, the interior of the building is destroyed in the present, the staircases towards the basement and first floor being unusable; only some parts of a wooden staircase which allows the access to the first floor are preserved. The castle can be visited since it is not enclosed.
