The archaeology and history Museum

The archaeology and history section comprises 15 exhibition halls on the first and second floor of the Culture Palace (entrance from the Dragalina Boulevard) The more than 2000 exhibited objects illustrate the evolution of the Arad region in the context of Romanian history, from the first traces of human presence until the installing of the communist regime. The most significant pieces of the archaeological collection are exhibited in the first seven rooms. The majority come from archaeological research conducted by specialists and the collaborators of the institution along the century. The major attraction of the segment of exhibition dedicated to modern history are the objects connected to the European revolution of 1848/49.

Opening hours: Daily: from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm / Closed on Monday.
