The local physical and geodiagram conditions, and especially the existence of mineral waters favoured from a touristy point of view, at the beginning of XX-th century Baile Lipova resort was hits apogee, being one of the most appreciated resorts of the time because of its impressive natural potential, quality, originality and cost of services, the developing of a balneal activity, the same time with the construct in 1894 of a balneal establishment supplied by two wooden  water wells and of a residential house accommodating about 60 persons. The apogee of the resort was in the third decade of the XX-Th century, following the construction of a new accommodation and entertainment building (250 persons). The resort began to be known also for the mineral water, being used for treatments in both internal and external cures, for entertainment and for bottling.

The resort had a continues decline after 1990,both  because of the economic transition, but also because of the defective administration and the high degree of physical and moral wear out of the accommodation, treatment and entertainment units. There were no investments in this period, so the material base became improper for the resort functioning, the specific tourism activities being suspended on the 1-st of July 1998.
