Houses Of Roman-Catholic Organization (Mirror Buildings) Cluj-Napoca

The houses of the Roman-Catholic organization, located at the intersection of Iuliu Maniu Street with Piata Unirii (Union Square), have been erected on a land given by the municipality to the Roman-Catholic Church as compensation for demolishing the real estates that surrounded St. Michael Church. They were erected in 1898 according to the plans of the architect Alpár Ignác. They were considered the most modern houses from Cluj in the time in which they were built. The real estates are placed on both sides of Iuliu Maniu Street, in almost perfect symmetry.
